Steve is a second-career pastor, having worked as an attorney for 15 years prior to becoming a full-time United Methodist Pastor in 2008. He enjoys spending time with people and learning their stories and how God has worked in their lives. His preaching style is based upon weaving Biblical, theological concepts into the daily struggles that we all face as broken human beings. Steve and his wife, Colleen, have two sons, Thomas, age 10, and Nicholas, age 6. Steve enjoys running, cycling, and travel in his spare time.

Stacy Davis – Office Manager I have lived in the Port St. John since 1987. My husband, Jim and I met in this church and have been married since June 28, 1998. We have a son, Lewis and a daughter, Robyn and they are each married. We have three grandsons and one granddaughter. My mother, Sarah, moved in with us September 2010. I worked for Painters Local Union 1010 as a secretary for nineteen years. I have been working as a school crossing guard since November 2005 and I started working as the office manager for FUMC PSJ March 2011. On my 40th birthday my husband surprised me with a hot air balloon ride!!! It was awesome!!!
Wendy Porter – Assistant Office Manager I have resided for 11 years in Port St. John, along with my beloved husband of 39 years, Jim. Prior to 2001, we lived aboard a 36 ft. sailboat named LORDSWAY for 14 years and did the three things we enjoy the most: tell people about Jesus, minister to them and sail! We ventured as far south as Venezuela and west to the island of Bonaire. I am presently enjoying working in the Church Office as Assistant Office Manager and prayer partner in our Food Pantry. I also have the pleasure of a Nursing Home Ministry at Vista Manor, Titusville. I have been blessed with a wonderful son, Eric and his wife and 3 grandchildren, plus a daughter, Shelly. I thank the Lord for all my blessings and the years He has given me to enjoy them.
Esther Shott – Choral Director Esther has a Master’s degree in music and has many years of experience with church music. She was born near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, married a Presbyterian minister and now lives with her daughter, Connie and granddaughter, Dana. She enjoys directing the choir and choosing music that relates to the Scripture for the service.
Sandy Lufkin – Building Manager “I’m your Building Manager, which is just an over-glorified title for janitor.” Over the years I’ve had numerous jobs from packing sardines to driving for Federal Express. My husband and I have been married for 44 years and we have 2 daughters, 4 grandsons, and 1 great grandson. My job is to take care of the 3 buildings that you worship in. I love my job. And I love talking to those of you who pop in and out all day long. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Sandy and her husband, Ron, are currently on an extended leave-of-absence to travel around the world.
Laurie Blair – Church Treasurer – Laurie brings more than 15 years experience in Methodist church accounting to the finances of the church. She has worked for five Methodist churches in Florida and North Carolina varying from large to small congregations. She feels her calling is to faithfully account for the funds that have been given for God’s work, and to communicate that information to the church leadership and the congregation. She translates financial reports so that everyone can understand what the numbers mean. Laurie has been married for over 20 years to her husband Bill, and they have 3 children Melissa, John and Matt. Melissa has also blessed them with 2 grandchildren, who live with their mother in Jacksonville.
Laurie is also serving in an interim capacity as Praise Team Director. She brings her passion for worship, and over 10 years experience as a Praise Team member to the church. She began playing in church worship services at the age of 13, and has been a founding member of 3 Praise Teams. To her, music is her primary way to connect with our Lord, and she hopes to bring her passion to the congregation each Sunday. However, she does feel her current service is transitional, and the Lord will bring the next Director to the church in His Time.
Charles Hart – Interim Building Manager
Charles Hartt is covering for Sandy Lufkin, building manager, while she is away traveling. He has covered for her in the past. Charles has been a member of PSJUMC since 1994. He and his wife Linda have raised their three children, Travis, Zachary and Lindsey in the church where they have been active members of Sunday school and youth group. Charles has a background of working in maintenance at both Sea Ray and Matrix services. He has also worked as a painter. In his spare time he works with his daughter Lindsey with her sports teams. He has been a past member of SPRC and is a current member of the trustees. He is enjoying having a closer connection with the congregation and the outside groups that use the church facilities.
