Hi Everyone:

This coming Sunday, July 1, we will examine King David’s response to the death of Saul and Jonathan, as I prepare a message on “How the mighty have fallen!” Please read the first chapter of 2 Samuel to prepare for Sunday. You may wish to read 1 Samuel as well, if you have the time. The Old Testament books of 1 and 2 Samuel are filled with many important lessons about the character of God and the nature of human beings.

Mike Bowen will offer us a brief report from annual conference. As always. we will have wonderful music from our praise team at early service and some special music at second service as our choir takes a much deserved break in July. They did an awesome job last Sunday!

Thanks again to all who worked hard in VBS last week. I know we had at least one young family who attended our church for the first time last Sunday as a result of the VBS program.
